6 year old spitting up bloodI have a six year old daughter who has been spitting up bright red blood on and off for about 4 months. Doctors she has seen have no clue what is wrong.
I am really frustrated. Please tell me what to do next. Someone has to have a clue. She bruises easily. She has had light ran down 3 times. Doctors say stomach is fine. No ulcerations, etc. Seems to happen when she is really active.
Re: 6 year old spitting up bloodA careful ear nose and throat examination and a bronchoscopy may help determine if the blood is coming from the upper or lower airway. Blood tests to determine if she has a tendancy to bleed may also be helpful.

Re: Re: 6 year old spitting up bloodThank you for responding. My child has just come back home from hospital. We still are not sure what is wrong. She has had 2 bronchoscopies already as well as a CAT scan from her sinusis to her waist. We are still awaiting blood test results. I am open to more suggestions if you have any to offer. I am getting more and more concerned.

Re: Re: Re: 6 year old spitting up bloodI don't have any further suggestions until the blood test results are known. That may help with the answer.
