Hemoptysis

Hello, my name is Ashley and im 20 years old. When I was only 8, I throw up blood more then 2 cups in just one sitting. I was scared but my dad rushed me to the hospital, I was rushed to sick kids (in toronto) after i went to the hospital in Midland to get fixed up. But after I was fixed the docter said it was a disease since childhood that just showed it's self. I was wondering if it was Hemoptysis because I don't know if it will reacure again. Because the docter said it wouldn't, but I want to make sure so I won't panic when it does come back. Throught the whole time I was at the hospitals (I was in midland for one hour then sick kids for 4 weeks) I coughted up about 5 litres of blood (estimate) before they fixed me with lazer surjury in the lungs throw my mouth instead of cutting open my chest and ribs to get to my lungs to fix my arterys that were erupted. They were joined into one, but they were supasse to be branching off. Plz get back to me so I can find out if it's genedic so when I have children I will be better at recognising it. Thank you bye
P.S. I almost forgot to discribe the blood texture. It was foamy looking, it was pinkish-red with air bubbles in it. Hopefully that will help you. Oh and it was projectial vomit/blood. (covered the bathroom wall)
