A Courageous FightMy husband was having a pre-op exam January 2007 for a routine hernia repair when a huge abdominal aortic aneurysm was discovered by CT scan, along with a suspicious shadow in his lower right lung. Re: A Courageous FightThank you for sharing your story. My dad who is 82 was just given the news of his lung cancer. He too went in for gastric surgery that would not heal up and found some cancer cells. Over a year ago he was told he had COPD and his breathing has not been good. His chest xrays all came back good. Now we will be going in for a CT scan. It is too early to discuss his options but glad that you were able to share your information on your husband's treatment. I am the youngest child of four that live at home with him. I believe that the quality of life at 82 is more important than the length. I am scared and filled with so many emotions but will stay strong for my father. I only have one of them and his comfort will be my top concern. Take care and God bless.
