TB signs

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Apr 03, 2002 3:01 pm

I used to live in the United Kingdom 2 years ago, and had the TB shot 3 days ago.
I know have a lump on my arm, and is irritating.
My doc thinks I have TB. My question to you is what are the implications of having TB?????

Cheers

a skin test does not mean you have tb, it just means that you have been exposed to tb. You need a full evaluation and chest xray to determine if you may have tb. if you do there are good medications to treat it and anyone close to you needs to be tested as well.

if the chest xray is negative than a physician needs to evaluate the risks and benefits of taking medication to lower the risk of developing tb.
